1) Open the package:
Please see the film with great care from the shipping container. The room should be as dust-free. Wide, then the film on a large, flat, smooth surface made (table, mounting plate, etc.).If during delivery reigned low external temperatures, the film should be stored at least 8 hours prior to installation in a spread state at room temperature.
2) Preparation
The glass surface should be thoroughly cleaned before the start of the lamination. This should absolutely solvent-free detergent, etc. without additional vinegar be used. The environment should be dust-free as possible during installation. To remove any dirt or adhesive residue should be carefully cleaned before the MagicFoil assembly with acetone. Please note that you are not the acetone with the edge of the film and the busbar (copper lugs) comes in contact!
Please note:
The film has a sticker on the front page: "selfadhesive opposite site"
ie -> On the opposite side ist the adhesive surface. Please remove the protective film (front page) only after the complete assembly.
3) Mounting / laminating:
Note: Depending on the size of the area (> 1sqm), we recommend an additional auxiliary power for assembly.
Fix the MagicFoil-Fix "MFF 70" first temporarily with tape on the intended surface. Take care, however, already at an accurately align the adhesive film in the planned area and use it if necessary additional markers (e.g. making tape) on the surface to be bonded. The you should start on one of the short edges so that, remove the protective film from the adhesive side of the film. This process shlould gradually with simultaneous bubble-free pressing the foil using a squeegee made.
Note: MagicFoil-Fix ist not permeable to water, in contrast to classical adhesive films from advertising industry.
If possibel, you should work without water.
If a bubble is created, you should take off the foil carefully in this area again and remove the bladder with the squeegee.
Please note: For better isolation from external influences (cleaning, moisture, etc.), we recommend the use of solvent-free silicone (e.g. "Würth - Sabesto Neutral Silicone Special" or "Dow Corning - DC7091") around the edges, corners and joints.
4) Electrical connection:
The electrical connection of MagicFoil-Fix (copper contacts /Connectors) should be done by a qualified electrician. The electrical connections should be positioned as one of the short edges and are located on vertical paths above. Please ensure a lasting and proper insulation of wiring!
5) Cleaning:
The cleaning of the film should be done with solvent-free, neutral cleaners.

The use of glass cleaning blades and similar abrasive cleaning utensils is prohibited.
We recommend neutral cleaner without additives and soft cloths (microfiber cloths do not use).

MediaVision BOS busbar optimization system
MediaVision (Inspira Glass-tec) now offers an even better level of quality for all LC switching window films & switch glass products. A special BOS MediaVision software determined for each glass switching and switching the film product the optimum position of the busbar (electrical connections). For narrow but relatively long LC films such connections are configured on both short sides.
Wiring: 2 existing busbar connections.
Connect to the terminals 1 and 4 (soldering> 0.75 sq mm flex cable) with a 65 volt connection
AC (alternating current)
Then connect pins 2 and 3 to the other terminal 65 volts AC.
